few more pictures-

First Day-- Megan saw a sign that said Disneyland was the Happiest Place on Earth. She said she does not agree. Home is the happiest place on earth. I thought that was sweet from a 9 year old. Her theory is where you want to be at night when your day is over is the happiest place on earth. She did admit that Disneyland might be the 2nd happiest place on earth.
There are actually a couple pictures I made it into. Something about the Mom's always being the ones taking the photos.
The whole gang minus Michael. Poor guy, best we can figure he ended up with food poisoning and lost out on the better part of Fathers Day stuck in the hotel room feeling like he got hit by a bus!
From left to right this is Tamis, Tasha, Dan, Cousin Linda , Megan, Jason, M'Lisa, Trevor and Elise.

A sigh of relief and a great big HAPPY DANCE!

Guess what?

TREVOR FINALLY LOST A TOOTH! Can you believe it? We were starting to wonder if he had any teeth underneath trying to come in. Tonight he came over and said his tooth felt really loose. He was not joking. I think it took 2 tugs and out it popped! WOWWEE! He was grinning ear to ear. He was the only kid in his class to have not lost a tooth. I know he is very excited to go in tomorrow and show of his new grin. This was a long time coming, the neighbor tooth is slightly loose so maybe we will have a repeat performance in the coming months.

Today was also Trevor's graduation ceremony in Cub Scouts. He graduated from the Tiger cubs. He gets to retire his orange Tiger kerchief and hat and move on up in rank to a yellow Wolf one. They had a nice brunch for the family and a slide show as well after the ceremony. He was thrilled and then to lose a tooth. Today was just tops for him.

An actress lives among us...

Well, Megan was in a play at school June 4th. She played Christina in the school production of "Grammar Gulch". It was a cute little play about a town in the old west named Grammar Gulch--they practice very proper grammar -- that is until Dirty Dan and the other Outlaws escape from jail and start stealing their verbs. Dirty Dan and his men use improper English, and are the enemy of proper English. When they steal all the verbs, leaving the class with only nouns, pronouns, adjectives and adverbs, the class is helpless. Verbs do all the work. Take all the action. Looks mighty bad for Grammar Gulch!

Hold on! One enterprising student has her own box of verbs. She will let the class use some of her verbs if the class will let her go after Dirty Dan and his band of improper speakers. No! To dangerous. Her friends volunteer to go with her. Okay! Off they go.

Sheriff Noun and his deputies appear. They learn of the dastardly deed. They go in pursuit. The sheriff and his deputies, the student and her friend save the day and restore verbs to the town. All is well in Grammar Gulch.

It was all very cute. She was super at it. Even still she is reciting the entire play. I hope she learned a few English tips that will carry her thru life. I only wish I had brought a camera with a charged battery, I only got 2 pictures. DARN!

This picture is blurry but I will post it anyhow... Maybe I can come up with something a little more clear.

tick tock...

it seems like this school year will never end! I have 3 very excited kids that are thrilled at the nearing journey they will take. We have 8 more mornings of getting up for school and attempts to learn a couple more things. I am pretty sure they are all tuned out though at this point. just killing time for now.

We celebrated Trevor and Elise turning 7 over the weekend. With all the May/June craziness we lumped them together with cousin Caleb (turned 12 June 1) and Uncle Cory (younger then me!). Presents were opened, bouncing on the trampoline with cousins and watching the bigger people ride around on Michaels new(but yet quite old) "moped/scooter/2 wheeled transportation". Pretty funny how something like that brings everyone out to give it a try. If gas keeps on climbing we will be doing rock/paper/scissor to see who has to drive it to work!

They are thrilled to be creeping up on 7 years old. I was advised they will still need a birthday cake on their birthday. What fun to be so young and really only worry about whether you will have cake or not. What a shame you don't know how lucky you are until it is too late!

Oh yeah, 11 days till we fly off and have a total kid vacation... I am glad we both have some time off afterwards to recover at home. Disneyland will be a blast I am sure, neither Michael or I have been in so long it will be like a brand new experience. Now if we could just convince Michael that the Goofy character breakfast on Fathers day is solely in his honor. Poor guy has to get up way to early then deal with larger then life cartoon characters hassling him on his "special" day.
