For some reason I only have my eye photographed again. Ah well, I thought this was a great picture of Michael. He doesn't like it though, nobody ever likes photos of themselves , do they? I have very few pictures of myself here or on my facebook. When you are the last stop in the editorial process they just never seem to make the cut.

Well we are doing it again! The 2nd grade concert is one of my favorites! I know because we went to it 2 years ago and it was a hum-dinger! Bring your party hats, dancing shoes and glockenspiels. Don't know what a glockenspiel is? Well then you better come and get educated!
We will be there at 6:45 on January 29th...let me know if you are coming so I can get you some time on the dance floor. Ok, maybe I will just save you a place to sit.

The kids and I watched the famous "I have a dream" speech today. I have not seen it in so long and have to say that goose bumps were present. How people were living such a short time ago is so hard to imagine. The kids have friends that in the 60's and before would have different lives. It amazes them that not only would they not go to the same schools they would not even be allowed to be friends. He was an amazing man that changed the course of history.
Here is a snippet of the speech delivered on the steps at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on August 28, 1963 by Dr. Martin Luther King, jr.
I HAVE A DREAM
I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."...I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today.
(Tomorrow is going to be pretty cool too!)
Megan in the center doing her thing...sorry for the spooky eyes. The operator of the camera was sleeping at the wheel. I can say that cause it was me!
Elise (pink socks, black shoes) doing a sit down wrestling cheer. She really loved this!
Cheering is up her alley.
One last song before this happened...
Off they go!
Mostly girls...I did see one little boy though.
Getting big, huh?
A little school spirit. Doesn't every Mom just love temporary
This may have been the best part of the night...mingling with
greatness. Having the cheer leaders sign your shirt. Sigh...is there
I think not!
Bad picture but will share anyhow. Trevors is silver with
yellow stripe. The 00 car next to his took 2nd place.
Flag ceremony before the big race
On your marks, get set, GO!
Thru some sort of computer error it said that Trevors car
went down the track at 9,598 mph! WOWEEE, took a picture
just for the heck of it. He really placed 5th but it was fun to dream.
For a brief moment he held the track record!
A boy and his car...it is a beautiful thing.
This is what one sister did to pass the 5 hours we
were at the meeting.
helps pass the minutes!
